Progressive is working on behalf of our client based in Glasgow in sourcing a Software Team Manager.This is a fantastic opportunity to join a dynamic group focused on new product development at the cutting edge with a mix of windows & embedded projects from sensor to screen.
We are loooking for candidates with a proven track record in problem solving, we are looking for engineers not programmers.
Essential skills/experience
* Minimum of 5 years experience within C++ development role
* Previous experience leading a team in both new product development and sustain projects
* Strong experience in AGILE/SCRUM methodologies.
* Strong OO multithreaded development on C++ / C#
* Experience of distributed processing systems over IP
* Strong understanding of enterprise messaging systems
Desirable skills
* C#/.NET monitoring and control applications.
* SQL Database design & implementation ( ODBC, OLEDB, MS SQL Server, SQLite, OPC PI )
* TCP/IP, full stack, protocol implementation.
* Device driver or Kernel development.
* SCADA, PLC or other controls orientated technologies.
* Degree In Software Engineering or Computer Science
Some travel will be required with this role.
