Description

Project Accountant

Project Accountant is required by a leading retail bank in London. The Project Accountant position is available on a three month rolling contract.

The Project Accountant would understand the core financials of the business across P&L, Risk & Capital Management; and possess good business knowledge and demonstrate IT market awareness.

The Project Accountant must meet the following criteria to be considered for the role:

Extensive Project Accountancy experience in a Banking or Financial Services

Proven ability to deliver on transformation activities

Demonstrate a deep understanding of project accounting principles and techniques including earned value analysis, zero based budgeting and/or software capitalisation

Excellent people management skills, influential and articulated when dealing with stakeholders

Proficient user of Oracle Financial Analyser (OFA), and MS Office Suite

Identify improvements to drive down costs across Group IT Finance

This is an exciting opportunity to join a large transformation programme within the banking sector, with extensions expected for the successful candidate.
