Description

eDiscovery Analyst required by large Investment Bank, based in London, to support, acquire, search, organise and present key electronic records (mainly but not exclusively email) to support confidential/sensitive Legal and H.R. enquiries and investigations within the Bank. The role includes developing and enhancing existing process documentation to ensure that delivery of material is efficient and consistent.

You will have recent and extensive experience of eDiscovery tools, in particular Symantec Discovery Accelerator; Sherpa Discovery Attender. Familiar with standard eDiscovery methodology. Scripting ability to allow ad hoc requests to process unstructured data to be effectively handled (eg Perl, Python). Microsoft Office (including advanced Excel). Electronic Mail (RFC 822 & Exchange). An understanding of Microsoft and Unix based distributed computing environments is beneficial to understand what records of electronic communications are available. An awareness of trading/market data IM (eg Reuters, Bloomberg) functionality. The ability to engage effectively to internal Clients and understand requirements for a particular request, then turn Business requirements into technical requests/activities to summarise and present the resulting information back to the Business requestor.

This role is operational responding to authorised requests from Legal and Functions for litigation, regulatory, H.R. and other requests for electronic communication records. The role involves the actual processing/searching of acquired data and not just forwarding service requests. Regular status reporting is required to ensure that Business requestors know when information will be delivered. For the avoidance of doubt, this is not a low level digital forensics position.
