Job Responsibilities:
- Has overall responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating activities pertaining to SAP Programme delivery and key part of a broader Finance and Procurement business transformation programme.
- Ensures the program objectives are accomplished, on time and in budget and in line with business objectives.
- Is familiar and monitors all major project activities, ensuring quality, integrity and consistency in program delivery.
- Understands how to leverage applications for competitive advantage for the company.
- Manages a dynamic team of individuals.
Principal Responsibilities
- Responsible for managing the delivery of the programme to meet its objectives within the approved scope on time and in budget - owns the overall operational delivery of the programme.
- Supports the implementation of organisation and business changes related the ERP programme.
- Manages progress against the plan(s) and budget, report status and ensure risks and issues are highlighted, escalated and resolved.
- Overall responsibility for the ERP programme budget.
- Identifies resource requirements from the business & ensures business resources are available when requested and possess the required capabilities.
- Ensures alignment between business objectives and programme in collaboration with the functional/business leads.
- Works with the PMO Lead the identification and scheduling of project deliverables, milestones and required tasks.
- Direct and coordinate activities of programme personnel to ensure project progresses on schedule and within budget.
- Facilitates business validation of process and application designs.
- Manages weekly team leader, monthly full team and other ad hoc meetings.
- Manages changes to plans during the projects life cycle and manage change requests through the steering group.
- Manages the Programme Steering Committee agenda and meetings and ensures updates and decisions are clearly and regularly articulated.
- Ensures robust communication channels exist with key stakeholders, ensuring expectations are effectively managed.
- Identifies and manages any interdependencies with other change programmes.
- Leads the project management community within the programme to ensure the adoption of standardised processes and procedures for the programme, and ensure the programme initiatives are aligned effectively.
- Works with delivery partners to identify and implement new ways of working to increase the speed and effectiveness of the programme.
- Review project status reports, and keep the Transformation Director and Management, internal clients informed of project status and related issues.
- Responds to requests for changes from original specifications.
- Monitor project results against project documentation.
- Direct quality assurance testing.
- Keep close contact with key business representatives to ensure technologies are providing valuable information sharing capabilities.
- Work closely with the business community to understand and prioritize business goals and information needs.
- Provide leadership and motivation to project team members throughout the project life cycle.
- Lead the effort in creative approaches to problem solving and quality deliverables supporting business needs.
