Description
6 month plus contract for a Sr. Solutions Architect. Candidate must have BS Degree or MS Degree in IT. Recent and proven experience as a Solutions Architect working with Syslog-ng and Splunk. Candidates need to have:
3-5 years of experience in the following: demonstrated competency in project management execution of multiple enterprise level, smaller, projects; experience in participating in multidiscipline, high-performance work teams/groups and demonstrated competency in developing efficient and effective solutions to diverse, less complex business problems. Demonstrated experience in the development, implementation, and maintenance of large-scale systems. Demonstrated experience in developing technical architectures.
Candidates need to have experience with the following:
Install, configure, and tune Splunk instancesInstall, configure, and tune Splunk instances. One (1) deployment server/license master One (1) cluster master/deployer (for search head cluster) Three (3) search head clusters Three (3) index clusters Two (2) search head clusters Three (3) index clusters Assist Customer with configuring one (1) syslog collector utilizing syslog-ng .
Design a data collection topology and configure one (1) universal forwarder
(UF) per server to monitor syslog files. Create data source configurations within Syslog-Ng. Implement Splunk data security configurations. Splunk dashboard development walk-through.
Experience working with Unix/Windows server infrastrucutres.
Local candidates preferred. Candidates must pass 20 year criminal background check an drug screen.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.
