IT Procurement Manager/Category Manager - Oxfam

A Category Manager with IT Procurement, Facilities and Logistics experience is required to work on a 2/3 month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Charity Sector client based in including Oxford.

The role being recruited sits within the IT, Facilities & Logistics team with a primary focus on the IT Category which represents around £10 million of the overall indirect spend.

Oxfam is about to embark on a significant journey to transform its IT landscape with major projects about to launch within the next few months including:

  • Email replacement. Customer Relationship Management (CRM). Application hosting/data centre refresh. Elements of the shops network/wi FI service. Service Desk software. Unified Comms In addition, Oxfam is working towards a shared service operating model with the 17 other separate legal entities that operate within Oxfam International. This represents a significant opportunity for the right candidate to be involved in some exciting and globally focused projects.. Experience of collaborative procurement: uses a range of approaches to effectively influence internal customers.. Clear, concise & logical communication and interpersonal skills. Uses clear examples to explain complex issues.. Critical information gathering: actively assesses relevance of information and can leave behind additional information for the sake of clarity.. Demonstrable negotiation skills to operate internally and externally.. Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise, coordinate and forward plan several tasks at the same time, whilst dealing with constant interruption.

Procurement The Interim IT Procurement Manager role works within the Central Procurement team, which reports into the F&IS group. The role is based in Oxford. This is commutable from London, Birmingham, the Midlands, the South, and the Home Counties.
