Description
Summary:- Will support a large group in US and Canada--Finance, Legal, IT & Sales Team
- Supports the Staff Level up to CFO
- Will be the point of contract to 2 staff members
- Working with managers to coach/counsel employees
- Interpreting and applying HR policies
- Running general reports in PeopleSoft
- Writes job descriptions
- Uses the job family charts to assist management with job titling
- Works with management on job requisitions
- Works with Talent Acquisition (TA) and management to formulate offers
- Works with basic compensation data on various projects
- Assists with salary planning, (performance and metric reviewing)
- Oversee the immigration program globally
- Reviews/understand I-9 audits
- Will be salary planning
- Merit Performance reviews
- Budget planning for compensation on new jobs, bonus structures
- Make decisions regarding full time or contract jobs
- Will be approving reqs and offers
- Will be using Taleo, PeopleSoft, I-Perform, WebX for meetings, Outlook for email
- Will work with recruiters to decide on compensation/bonus before an offer is made.
- Will deal with visas
- Will be completing I-9s.
Required Skills:
- 7+ years' experience as a generalist, including administering policies, employee relations, and working with Talent Acquisition on staffing.
- Working knowledge of benefits and compensation programs.
- Bachelor's degree in HR management or equivalent experience
- 7+ years' experience as an HR generalist
- Strong employee relations experience
- Basic understanding of compensation and benefits
- Some knowledge of recruiting (will work with TA who will do the actual recruiting)
- I-9 experience
- Some experience with immigration
- Strong Microsoft Office experience
- Need to understand job descriptions
- Be able to understand titling compensation structure
- Need to be able to counsel employees and putting together performance plans
- Management skills in a professional environment (preferably engineering)
- PeopleSoft experience
- Taleo experience
- 5 + years' experience in HR management role
- Experience with expatriates
- Approachable and highly professional
- Ability to pick up tasks when VP is travelling, which means the ability to support C-suite level
- Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality
- Any immigration/relocation knowledge is helpful.
