BI ADMINISTRATOR (Oracle) - DUBLIN - 12 months

Our client has a fantastic opportunity for a highly skilled BI Administrator for an initial 12 month contract.

This individual will perform day to day administration tasks on the Department's Middleware layer, but will also support development teams working on DAFM Reporting and BI systems including Oracle Reports, Oracle BI Discoverer, and Oracle BI Publisher.

The candidate proposed must have a minimum of three years overall in the administration and deployment of JEE applications to Oracle Application Server (iAS) or Oracle WebLogic.

The candidate must also have a minimum of three years' background in the competencies listed below;

  • Manage Oracle OC4j 10g or Oracle WebLogic (11g or 12 C) in a Linux/Unix n-tier environment
  • Operating in an Oracle 10G, 11g or 12c database environment shared between multiple (40+) bespoke JEE applications
  • Configuration and management of Oracle OC4J 10G or WebLogic (11g or 12C) in a large scale (40+ ) application environment
  • Configuration and management of Apache HTTPD Webserver
  • Configuration and management of Oracle Reports
  • Configuration and management of Oracle Discoverer
  • Writing of efficient SQL for reporting
  • Experience working with Oracle security techniques such as schemas, roles, grants and synonyms
  • Configuration and management of Subversion Source control

  • Expertise in support of Oracle Middleware on the X64 RedHat Linux operating system including creation and management of Shell Scripts, CRON, etc
  • Expertise in the management of Oracle BI Publisher
  • Expertise in the management and maintenance of applications to meet 24x7 availability
  • Expertise in migration between Oracle Application Server versions
  • Expertise in maintenance and management of JIRA and Confluence from Atlassian
  • Understanding network protocols and communications, particularly in relation to Firewall configuration
  • Deploy and Manage applications using the Spring Framework
  • Deploy and Manage JEE Webservice applications
