Our client is currently uses a generic framework which is a code library, currently written in C++, that contains tools to facilitate the development of line planning and scheduling software. It is used to model the line planning.
The goal is to maximize code reuse in our software. For this, the framework gives a generic approach to represent a business problem, typically in a tree structure. The framework also provides tools for interfacing with databases, text files, or .NET applications, so our models can receive data and give out model results. Furthermore, it simplifies the manipulation of our Business Objects. Finally it is easy to plug in model-specific code, as each model also requires its own business logic.
To further enhance our model development, we want a complete revamping of the generic framework (in C#), that focuses on maintainability and transparency. The new framework should allow multi-threading, which the current framework lacks.
To design and implement this revamped framework, we are looking for a C#-specialist, who also has affinity with C++.
Skills:
- Master Degree or equivalent;
- At least 5 years experience;
- Strong .NET knowledge
- Experience with Multi-threading
