Role Purpose:
HSBC Technology and Services - Global Banking and Markets provides world-class systems and solutions for the global markets business. Within the division, HSBC Securities Services (HSS) IT supports business functions associated with Fund Services, Custody, and Corporate Trust & Loan Agency.
Accountabilities:
The Lead Technical Specialist/Project Manager will be responsible for technical deliverables from this programme, with particular focus on Objectstore as a new technology to implement within the HSS technology stack, which is primarily Java and EMC based in this regard.
Knowledge & Experience/Qualifications:
Line management and Leadership:
Extensive experience in an IT leadership role. This role does not have a line management responsibility, but the incumbent will usually have experience of IT line management, preferably including leading an IT infrastructure team.
Project management.
Management of complex projects eg the rollout of a new architecture for a particular infrastructure layer, or the integration of many cross-platform technical functions.
Effectively co-ordinate delivery of services involving elements delivered by other internal/external teams.
Extensive use of project methodology.
Technical.
Demonstrated proficiency of technical functions, products and platforms in several technologies.
Provide technical direction by developing strategy and policy in one or more fields.
