Description

This financial institution is one of the largest mutual fund and financial services groups in the world and the technology projects they are working on at the moment are cutting edge and require someone with an innovative approach who likes working in a collaborative environment.

You will work with a team of talented Software Engineers across the globe to develop high quality applications servicing the financial trading industry. This role sits between a UI Designer and a Back End/middle tier development team, and is the perfect the role if you want to the opportunity to expand your skill set into these areas.

The primary technologies used are as followed: Javascript, HTML5, CSS3 including frameworks and libraries such as AngularJS, Node.JS and Bootsrap.
An understanding of UX design principles and how to apply them will be a distinct advantage

Primary Responsibilities:

*Actively participate in all phases of the SDLC including design, development, and testing.
*Develop original and creative technical solutions.
*Work independently on complex technical and functional analysis.
*May determine and develop approaches to solutions.
*Report status, identify issues/risks proactively, and provide alternative plans for recovery.
*Communicate effectively in a team oriented environment.
*Mentoring of junior team members.
*Help to define development standards for team.

Education and Experience:

*BS or MS Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent.
*Minimum 5 years of application design & development experience in JavaScript, HTML5, CSS and JavaScript frameworks
*Experience working with distributed teams
*Experience of agile development
*Experience in integrating with middle tier Java applications
