Description
1 year plus contract for a Webmethods Sr. Developer with 7 or more years experience. Must be able to work w2 hourly only. Local candidates preferred. Client has locations in Raleigh or Charlotte so work can be done in either City.
The candidate will be capable of fulfilling the Integration Tech Lead role on a large program consisting of multiple projects, specific to SOA implementation on the webMethods platform.
This position requires a highly experienced webMethods developer/architect who will contribute to integration design, oversee and participate in the webMethods development, and ensure the solution is built as per design.
The person selected for this position will
demonstrate extensive knowledge of services oriented architecture principles and have experience in designing SOA integrations on the webMethods platform
have hands on development/architecture experience with webMethods v9.8, Universal Messaging experience is highly desirable
demonstrate extensive experience with all aspects of large project SDLC
exhibit professional experience in working with geographically distributed teams, peers and clients included; individual needs to be able to work independently, understanding how to prioritize and accomplish tasks across several initiatives, targeting success on all provide oversight of web service top-down design methodology
receive design knowledge transfer from SOA architects, support creation/enhancement of project deliverables as required
facilitate design handoff from SOA architects to wM developers; provide oversight on Build, Test, Implement, Warranty phases as related to webMethods integration; lead the transition and knowledge transfer to application support team to conclude project
be first line of support for technical aspects of the project as related to webMethods, work closely with webMethods Infrastructure analysts to facilitate project-specific configuration
establish/maintain the work plan for the webMethods integration components of project execution
be accountable to program/project managers reporting status, constraints, issues; providing input to estimates and projections
report to the Center of Excellence manager within the Information Management Architecture group, will be liaison on IT projects leveraging webMethods resource pool and report to project managers for those initiatives; this requires strong multi-tasking skills, and ability to adapt to changing priorities
remain flexible in adjusting work to changing business priorities participate in technical requirements definition and analysis efforts, providing rigorous estimates of webMethods effort based on design participates in a 24x7 rotational Center of Excellence on-call support
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related discipline; OR 7 years of prior equivalent work related experience in lieu of a degree 5+ years experience - webMethods web services & integration development, design
Expert level developer experience with SoftwareAG webMethods v8 & v9 including related components (IS, v8 Broker, JMS, JDBC/MQ/EntireX Adapters, My webMethods, Trading Networks, CentraSite, Insight, Terracotta, v9 Universal Messaging, Command Central, Flow language, security methods) Linux virtual server, Oracle DB experience a plus
