Description

We are currently looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to work for a global organisation in Belgium. This is a 12 Month initial ongoing contract. Please see below job details.

Language

- Fluent French, Dutch & strong English

Candidate will be based at the HUB site (Mechelen, Belgium) but will be required to attend the Spoke sites

Key responsibilities:

- Providing customer break fix support including off office hours and weekends for designated equipment in plant and campus
- Maintains, analyses, troubleshoots, and repairs computer systems, hardware and computer peripherals.
- Documents, maintains, upgrades or replaces hardware and software systems
- Communicating clearly in written and verbal form
- Accepting and delivery of all service calls assigned
- Completing all administrative tasks associated with each call
- Responsible for control and return of assets and inventory
- Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
- Installing wires and cables as well as splice wires or cables
- Inspect and test wiring to locate and repair problems as well as ensuring that all specifications are met
- Backup tape replacement
- Executive support
- Handling procurements
- Support rest of the locations in country remotely if required.
- Support Remote Desktop support team if required.
- Support implementing/executing infrastructure-projects (small projects) only locally within the location.
- 24*7 support for Network or Server related Critical incidents

Key Skills/Knowledge:

- Experience with operating system installation using SCMM, anti-spyware, anti-virus, custom and commercial software
- Experience with mobile telephony technologies (BES, Blackberry, iPad, Smart phone and iPhone)
- Knowledge on office products like word/excel/Email clients
- Proficiency in desktop support including knowledge of current Windows operating systems
- Hardware support - laptops, Printers, Desktop, Telephony equipment's break fix
- Backup restore of OS and Data
- Procurement of Hardware, Maintaining the assets and Hardware spare stocks
- Hands on Audio/Video Conferencing experience
- Experience in performing asset refresh
- Experience in Manufacturing/Industrial Application Services, Workstation, RFID scanner, Bar code scanner, Controllers, Scale AS, PLC etc.
- Experience in network troubleshooting
- Basic Knowledge on windows Active Directory and group policies
- Ability to drive yourself to client locations
- Ability to drive long distances
- Ability to lift and or move various computer equipment and ladder up to 60 lbs.
- Valid driver's license.
- Spoke site support using own transport. The required transport charge can be claimed from company with necessary bills

Experience required:

- Good Communication skills
- ITIL concepts strongly preferred
- MCSE or MCP preferred
- Min 5 years of relevant experience
