Description
A global Renewable Energy client is looking for 10 - 12 Consultants who will be working as Client Representatives (CR) for geophysical survey for their offshore wind farm project. Our client is looking for Client Representatives (CR) to supervise geophysical surveys. The Client Representatives will be required to participate in a planning meeting and a technical kick-off before the survey itself. This is expected to be a 6.5 month freelance contract starting 18th April 2016 up until approximately 31st October 2016 with the possibility of a further extension.Responsibilities:
- Accurate bathymetry
- High resolution shallow seismic data penetration to 10 meters below seabed
- Magnetometer data acquired with minimal noise at tow-fish altitudes between 1m and 4m above seabed
- Dual frequency side scan sonar data
- Correlation between side scan sonar, magnetometer and geological interpretations
- Relevant academic training in geophysics and/or surveying
- 5 years experience as a Client Representative (CR) on offshore geophysical surveys
- Highly experienced in surface and subsurface positioning
- Extensive experience in working with multibeam echo sounder high frequency shallow sub-bottom profiler, side scan sonar and magnetometer
- Knowledge of grab sampling procedures
- Sea Farers Offshore Medical
- One Day First Aid Course
- Firefighting course
- Sea survival and transfer training
- Sea survival should be according to GWO or similar standards such as STCW 2010, OPITO approved BOSIET
- The Consultants will be required to bring his/her own PC with MS Office 2007 software or newer and mobile telephone.
- The Consultants must have his/her own PPE equipment (Personal Protection Equipment)
