PAYMENT ADMINISTRATOR

BASED IN CHESTER

CONTRACT

Bank of America Merrill Lynch is currently seeking to recruit a Payment Administrator to work as part of the Commercial Card - Operational Support division in the offices based on Chester Business Park, Chester.

The Payment Administrator is responsible for carrying out all Banking and administration functions for EMEA Commercial Card, settlements to Card Networks and MI reporting.

The team is responsible for the daily reconciliation of all EMEA Commercial Card GL accounts, researching, documenting and resolving potential exception items.

Key skills for a Payments Administrator:

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Knowledge and experience of processing payments (CHAPS)
  • Ability to work in a control focussed environment
  • Working knowledge of Oracle Financials, Recon Plus or T-Sys would be preferred
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities of a Payment Administrator:

  • Process outgoing CHAPS payments where customers request payments to be returned
  • Research missing payments
  • Distribute Direct Debit mandates as requested
  • Reverse unpaid Direct Debit and amend details provided by receiving banks
  • Deal with ad-hoc requests on all banking and admin activities
