Role Summary:

The developer will configure and develop Labware applications according to the provided functional and technical specifications. He/she will work in an existing Labware template (including functions, tools and methods). The developer will join the Labware CoE team and will work in a GxP controlled environment with high expectations in terms of quality.

Reporting Line:

Manager - IT R&D Labware CoE

Key Responsibilities / Deliverables:

  • He will handle 1st line and 2nd line support responsibilities related to LabWare appllications.
  • The developer will configure and develop new / maintain existing Labware functionalities / applications based on functional and technical specifications given by the business analyst.
  • For planning purposes, he/she will estimate the effort required to implement programs. He/she will work in the existing Labware template, using the current methodology and tools, and will participate to extend this template.
  • He/she will do unit testing of the code / configuration that he/she has developed.
  • He/she will work with the functional and business testers to reproduce issues and he/she will investigate and fix them.
  • He/she will write the technical program documentation in English.
  • Depending on the seniority, the developer will support the design of applications aiming at maximizing standardization and simplification.
  • After project go-live, he/she will collaborate with the Labware support teams to analyze and solve any remaining issues.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • Quality / right first time mindset.
  • Ability to speak and write fluently in English and in French.
  • Strong analytical capability driven by standardization and simplification.
  • Deep understanding of structured programming and good software engineering practices such as documentation, release management of configuration packages.
  • Knowledge of Labware design and programming standards (Visual Workflow, Labware Basic).
  • Knowledge of Labware HQ support processes.
  • Technical knowledge of industry specific LW process template (such as LW V6/V7, eLNB, BioAnalysis).
  • Appropriate technical knowledge of Oracle DB and SQL and user access management.
  • Knowledge about pharmaceutical quality and R&D lab processes. Good team player.
  • 3 - 8 years development experience, with at least 4 years' experience in Labware.

Education, Qualifications

:
Professional bachelor to university master degree in computer science, bioscience, engineering , business or equivalent.
Labware LIMS certifications as required for the role. At least Labware V6 and Labware V7 LIMS Administration.
