Rate: £600 per day
My client a leading Renewable energy operator, specialising within the offshore wind sector, is currently looking to recruit an experienced Offshore Cable Package Manager.
Supporting the Electrical Package Manager, the Offshore Cable Package Manager is responsible for the co-ordination of all supply and installation elements of the export and array marine cable systems for the project within the Electrical System Infrastructure (ESI) package.
Package Responsibilities
- Contribute proactively to the delivery of an inherently safer wind farm that obtains a sustainable CFD, whilst minimising the cost of energy over the life of the project
- Co-ordination of package activities within offshore cable discipline to establish an overall cable marine cable system concept, including supply, installation and cable protection system.
- Participate in reviews of risk register, HSE assessments and engineering decision log for the marine cable system discipline area as well as wider project processes.
- Close liaison with Lead Electrical Engineer to ensure cable system design is in accordance with the requirements of the wind farm electrical concept
- Appropriate application of relevant standards and specifications to establish an economic and efficient marine cable system in line with OFTO and project expectations
- Responsible for co-ordination of all marine cable Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages(s) and subsequent procurement activities
- Development and management of a tender assessment process for the offshore cable procurement packages, aligning with the wider package and contract strategy requirements
- Support value management and project optimisation process up to DG2 through tracking of optimisation activities within the electrical package team
- Support Electrical Package Manager in the development of ESI deliverable to input into project Decision Gate process
