For our client, an international Bank in Zurich, we are looking for aGerman speaking Requirements Engineer / Solution Architect - Lifecycle & Enhancement (3501)
The successful candidate will support the business in its duties through IT support and document it to provide a common understanding between the clients who use the application and the IT people who built, test and maintain it. It is important that the candidate understands business drivers and what needs to be delivered from a business point of view.
The Role - RE part:
- Produce Elicit and elaborate requirements
- Create Model and Document requirements understandable for clients and subsequence roles within IT
- Ensure that specification of the user's needs is accurate, complete and unambiguous
- Maintain traceability between requirements and between requirements and requests
- Identify impact of changes on the existing requirements
- Provide inputs to a first test strategy for the application
- Provide input to the Project Manager for prioritizing requirements
- Supports testing phase by giving input, review test strategy and test cases
The role - SA part
- Analyze requirements specification, plan and design solutions (including interfaces to other applications) taking into consideration: economic efficiency, quality, feasibility and dependencies
- Support project estimates and provide planning input regarding solution engineering and software engineering project activities to the Project Manager
- Coordinates the software engineers, define work packages and assign them, ensure high quality of the work products and a consistent end-to-end solution implementation
- Act as technical representation & advisor for project and ensure compliance with IT standard & guidelines
- Responsible for all project-related solution engineering work products content and quality of the application documentation (e.g. Software Architecture Document (SAD))
- Ensure adherence to application and technology related architectural standards and development policies
- Perform design and implementation reviews to ensure architecture and application conforming to standards & guidelines
Your qualifications:
- At least 6 years' experience as a requirements engineer in a financial Institution, preferably within the EU / US Withholding Tax department. A solid Knowledge of financial Instrument, such as securities, single accounts and bookkeeping is an advantage.
- very well experienced (> 8 years) Java software engineer with knowledge in of EJB 3.x, JSF 2.x, JMS, JPA, JUnit, SQL/PL-SQL, XML, Web-Services, MQ-Series
- well experienced solution architect (> 4 years)
- Know-how in JIRA, Enterprise Architect 9.x and other technologies like Eclipse IDE, SVN, Oracle DB, Linux/Unix shell, Weblogic
- Solid understanding and practical experience in the use of Case modeling (UML) and IT projects
- Background in software development processes / life cycle
- Experience in project management
- Previous experience in stakeholder involvement and management
- Fluent in English and German
Additional qualifications (+++)
- IREB Certified Professional for Requirements Engineering or a similar certificate
- Well banking-knowhow about tax, namely about US Withholding Tax (FATCA, Qualified Intermediary)
