Description
Deputy Medical DirectorReal Staffing are collaborating with an NHS Provider who are looking for an Interim Deputy Medical Director for an initial 3 month period.
I am looking for immediately available candidates who can interview early next week.
As a valued member of the Board the Medical Director will be responsible for:
- Ensuring there is explicit clinical leadership throughout the organisation
- Leading on the development & implementation of all clinical governance strategies & processes
- Leading on the performance management of all clinicians
- Developing & sustaining relationships with clinicians
- Ensuring the organisation maintains their registration with the CQC
- Development of a clinical training & education programme
- Liaising with the clinical governance committee & GP Members
- Attending & engaging with joint management boards
- Provide clinical input into the day to day management of services
- Review & development of policies & guidelines
- Being visible & responsive to the needs of the clinical workforce
- Being available regularly during scheduled & out of hours period
- Having direct responsibility for the management of Controlled Drugs policies
- Developing a clinical governance strategy & improvement plan
- Overseeing the complaints & feedback processes in accordance with the complaints policy & ensuring these are shared & followed through accordingly
The Deputy Medical Director will also act for the organisation as:
- Safeguarding Lead
- Accountable Officer for Medicines management
