Functional Safety Engineer - 12 Month Contract - West Midlands
Amoria Bond are looking for an experienced Functional Safety Engineer for an EPSCC team (Electrified Propulsion Systems, Calibration and Control). The team are responsible for delivering all types of hybrid systems to the client. The successful candidate will be working across a number of production and research projects, developing safety cases for the systems and ensuring they are validated.
Day to day responsibilities:
*Ensuring the safe operation of the system both in normal and faulty conditions.
*Developing safety cases for the systems to demonstrate against ISO26262.
*Managing safe design of a concept from hazard identification to final validation.
*Hazard and risk analysis development.
*Organising and executing user trials.
*Developing functional safety concepts.
*Develop requirements to cascade to the supplier.
*Validate the case is met.
*Sign off the system with report.
*Safety Assessments.
I am looking for something with the following experience:
*Application of ISO26262 to complex system functionality
*Requirements capture, cascade and agreement with internal and external stakeholders
*Knowledge of the application of Failure Mode Avoidance toolsets - FMEA, Boundary, P Diagrams.
*Hazard identification
*Full V cycle of control system development and testing
*Strong background with safety related systems (Complex Electronic systems would be desirable)
*Safety case production and 3rd party assessment.
*Safety standards (Def-Stan, ISO26262, IEC91508)
*Safety System design and analysis
*Safety critical software methods
*Automotive background, either tier 1 or OEM
*Hybrid and electrical vehicle experience
*SysML/UML
*Supplier Liaison experience
*PCDS, TCDS
