Description

Systems Administrator - we are currently recruiting on behalf of one of our most prestigious legal sector clients for a Systems Administrator to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract of 6 months. This role will be part of the Global System Administration team who are responsible for the overall account management for on-boarding, off-boarding, account modifications, and access controls across multiple systems and applications in line with the firm's security and access control policies.
Key responsibilities include:
Ensuring all service requests are processed in line with the Incident Management process, agreed service level targets (SLTs).
Proactively managing all updates to relevant parties regarding service requests through to resolution.
Responsible for ensuring that the housekeeping and administration of the firm's servers and directories are carried out in accordance with the firm's policies and procedures.
Maintaining and administering accounts and access to a number of applications and file stores.
Assists in defining access rights and privileges, and administers logical access controls.
Creating and maintaining audit trails relating to all service requests and access controls.
Produce and participate in internal audit reports as requested
Develop, publish, share and maintain documentation to drive a consistent and effective service
Contribute to building the competency within Global System Administration team by ensuring effective knowledge sharing
Identify training needs or requirements for yourself individually or for the team
Proactively identify opportunities to continually improve efficiency and effectiveness
Provide Ad-Hoc reporting as required.
Act in accordance with the firm's Information Security Policies and report any potential or actual Security events or other Security risks
Key skills and experience required:
Experience of working in a medium to large networked environment and have a broad range of IT skills.
Experience of working with multiple domains and in depth knowledge and understanding of Active Directory, access controls and general user administration principles.
Customer oriented experience in a global environment.
Proven ability to drive and execute processes and standard procedures to improve operational efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Basic Active Directory & Exchange administration
Foundation-level or working knowledge of ITIL service management best practice.
Excellent communication skills.
