Proteus Europe is searching for Chief Software Architect (Infotainment) for a permanent role based in Paris, France.Our Client :-
is a major player in the automotive infotainment System. These systems - Infotainment- are key elements of the attractiveness of cars today, and now account for a major part of interactions drivers / passengers with their vehicle. The current trend in architecting such systems from multi-source components reinforces the need for well-structured and integrated systems. Also, the choice of technology, architecture, processes, tools and automation should be judiciously combined to help create a reliable approach to software integration systems premium quality service.
Your New role :-
Our client is searching for an automotive expert with strong background in infotainment software. You must be able to act as a technical consultant and advisor for our customers, a leader of internal teams willing to take the technical responsibility for projects of over 100 engineers and as a pre-sales team member working to secure new business opportunities.

Essential Skills :-
As an ideal candidate, you have several years of experience in automotive software architecture with in-depth knowledge of automotive software, relevant application frameworks, as well as 3rd party components, including direct experience in several of the following areas:
· Software Architecture and Design (definition, documentation and evaluation, UML, OOA, OOD)
· Automotive and Open Source Operating Systems (Linux, Tizen, Android, QNX)
· Automotive SW frameworks (AutoSAR, GENIVI)
· Vehicle Networks (CAN, MOST, Ethernet including AVB),
· Connectivity (Internet, CE Devices, WiFi/Bluetooth/2G/3G, PIM)
· Multimedia frameworks (CODECS, DRM, Apple Interface)
· Broadcast Receivers (AM/FM, SDARS, DAB/DMB+, TMC)
· Audio and Video Routing
· Voice Recognition and Speech interfaces
· HMI Technologies (Qt/QML, Rhapsody, HTML5, EB Guide)
· Browser technologies (e.g. Webkit)
· Navigation systems, GPS, Position and Location, ADAS
· Vehicle Power and lifecycle management (including System Resource Mgmt, Platform State Management, System Health Monitoring)
· Vehicle Diagnostic protocols (OBDii)
· System and platform security (including virtualization, application sandboxing)
· Software download and update (FOTA)
· Linux kernel and driver architecture and development
· Programming (C/C++, Java, Scripting languages)
· Automotive quality standards (CMMi, SPICE)
Qualifications:
· At least 10 years of experience in Automotive Software Architecture and Design
· Significant track record of relevant projects working with multiple automotive OEMs and Tier 1s
· Flexibility for extended (3-6 month) assignments onsite with customers
· A well-organized team player and able to manage multiple tasks and priorities in parallel
· Proven ability to solve complex problems in a structured and analytical manner
· Experience designing, estimating and planning complex software systems
· Highly motivated to deliver quality solutions to tight deadlines
· Excellent written and spoken English-language communication skills
· Relevant University Degree (BSc, MSc, Dipl.-Ing., Dipl.-Inf.) or equivalent qualification
