Senior Software Developer - High Wycombe - £60,000 - Permanent
Computer Futures are currently working with a well-known company based in High Wycombe who are looking for a Senior Software Developer to join their expanding team. The Senior Software Developer will be designing and developing new features for their recently launched flagship desktop product. To analyse requirements, make software architecture and design decisions, develop significant areas of the application and to research and suggest new technologies, tools and approaches.
The role would suit a developer with significant desktop (or Silverlight) software design and development experience that wishes to take a high level of responsibility for delivering important new application features and wishes to be involved early in the creation of a new software team.
Responsibilities includes:
To understand the existing application design and architecture
To analyse business requirements and create appropriate solutions
To design and develop compelling new features for the existing desktop application
To make software architecture and design decisions
To define software development tasks and provide estimates for completion
Essential Key Skills:
C#
.Net 4 and above
5 years commercial development experience
Recent significant WPF/Silverlight experience
Visual Studio
Significant desktop software design experience
Linq
Desirable:
Visual Studio Team Services
TFS
Team leadership experience
Agile project experience
Automated unit testing
MEF
Rx (Reactive Extensions)
Azure
Asynchronous programming
Personal Requirements:
Mentoring junior staff members
Planning and organising
Analytical ability
Attention to detail
