DevOps/Applications Support Engineer - SQL, PowerShell, Octopus, XML, Team City
A DevOps/Applications Support Engineer required to join a leading Investment Bank on an initial 6 month contract. You will be helping provide full support across the Bank's production applications, maintaining and improving the monitoring environment.
You will boast strong working knowledge within both SQL, XML and Scripting in PowerShell for automation. The team currently use Team City & Octopus build and deployment systems so exposure to either of these technologies is greatly preferred. It is essential that you have previous exposure to supporting applications and have strong time keeping and organisational skills.
The client is looking for a Support Engineer that can utilise their skills to enhance the efficiency of the working practices across the application infrastructure space. The support rota required in the office is from 08:00 - 18:00, you will be working with the wider team to ensure that appropriate cover during those hours.
Key Technical Skills:
- Powershell & XML
- Deployment Systems - Team City/Octopus preference
- Experience supporting applications
- SQL
Desireable Skills:
- An understanding of messaging services, OO languages and IIS site hosting
- Financial experience but this is not a necessity
