Description
Freelance PHP developer needed! Amsterdam. 6-12 months.The company that I am currently recruiting for has the mission to deliver software-based business applications combined with science insights and services as well data expertise to their global clients and teams.
For the upcoming project they need someone who can:
- Isolate core parts of the application and make them accessible via APIs and/or web services.
- Abstract given data management logic in order to replace the underlying persistency store
- Finalize the already started PHP 5.6 migration
- Increase the test coverage for automated tests
- Develop approaches for testing complex scenarios with massive data load and challenging data analytics
- Work together with infrastructure team to develop cloud based scale-out and fall back scenarios
- In depth knowledge and experience in
- PHP development for enterprise applications (Individual Software, no CMS/Customization)
- Refactoring and transforming Legacy code into Web Services or Packages
- Upgrading larger Applications to PHP 5.6
- Debugging, Tuning
- Test development (Unit Testing with PHPUnit)
- Object Oriented programming
- Good knowledge of
- Distributed Data driven applications
- MySQL
- Composer, GIT, Version Management
- Preferred but not a must:
- Experiences with MongoDB and Redis (or other K/V store)
- Experiences with Column Stores
- C++
- (JavaScript)
- Fluent in English.
- Working knowledge of Linux
- Working in an Agile & lean environment (SCRUM with JIRA).
- Working with three other teams (in total ~5-7 colleagues are involved in the project)
- Time frame: 6-12 months
- Occupation: full time (at least 80%)
- Location: Amstelveen (at least 3 days on-site; 1-2 days remote is acceptable)
