Description

A global Renewable Energy client is looking for a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to work on its offshore wind farm project in the UK. The Senior Authorised Person (SAP) will report to the HV Manager and will be responsible for defining safety procedures for electrical matters in accordance with the clients Electrical Safety Rules. This freelance contract is due to commence from the 30th May 2016 until approximately 31st July 2016, with the possibility of extending further. Hours of work will be on a 10-12 hrs a day 7 days a week, shift pattern of two weeks on two weeks off duty. Weekend work should be expected.
Responsibilities:
Define safety procedures for electrical matters in accordance with the clients Electrical Safety rules
Operation of medium and high voltage systems
Preparation of switching schedules, supporting document, shutdown procedures for ensuring that the work is performed in compliance with the relevant safety regulations, law and legislation for execution, co-ordination and monitoring of electrical commissioning activities
Oversee the testing, commissioning and energisation of offshore cables and WTG's
Oversee cabling and termination of HV transformers, switchgear and HV assets
Preparation, issuing and cancelling of safety documents, including permits to work
Participating in preparation of snagging lists, non-conformities (NC) and non-conformity reports (NCR)

Qualifications:

34KV SAP
Responsible for ensuring compliancy with the client's electrical safety rules throughout the project
High technical skills and insight in WTG energisation and commissioning activiites
Special provisions:
The Consultant must bring his or her own PC with MS Office 2007 software and mobile telephone.
