Job Description:
Mentor the existing DBA team in the following areas:
1. Maintenance and support of Oracle database software including:
Oracle Database Enterprise Edition ) or later in RAC/Non-RAC environment
Oracle RAC (Real Application Cluster's) in One Node/Multiple Nodes as per the Business and client
requirements
2. Maintenance and support of Oracle Grid Infrastructure ) including:
Oracle Clusterware
3. ASM (Oracle Automatic Storage Management)
4. Oracle Enterprise Manager Database Control
5. ASR(Oracle Auto Service Request)
6. Backup's for Oracle Database and ASM
7. Creation of Virtual templates for Apps Server 64-bit
8. RPM Repository creation and Applying required RPM's for ODA
9. Diagnostic Data Collection for ODA for Hardware and Software Configuration issues
10. Running/Executing Scripts for ODA
11. Identifying and troubleshooting issues related to the ODA
12. Identifying Oracle Database workloads
13. Database Cloning and Refresh on ODA
14. Database Patching and Application
15. Printer's installation on ODA
16. Implementation of Backup Strategy using Oracle Secure Backup (OSB)
17. Implementation weekly (Level 0) backup, daily Incremental level 1 backup and daily backup's for OSB
18. Applying and Monitoring Quarterly patches for ODA
19. Applying Oracle Recommended Patches through alert mechanism
20. Implementation of NTP Server post deployments on ODA
21. Creation of ISO Image
22. Conversion of Single Instance to RAC one node database
23. Working closely with SR for any ODA related bugs encountered
24. Configuration of Enterprise Manager Database Control (DB Console) for RAC, Non-RAC systems and RAC one Node systems
25. Creation of Disk backups external to ODA
26. Adding Additional Storage/Data for NFS Attached Storage
27. Determining the best network port for NFS
28. Configuration of Oracle Direct NFS
29. Implementing of Isolation of Storage network traffic from General Database Traffic.
30. Coordinate training for DBAs regarding knowledge gaps related to items above.
Required Experience:
- 5 or more years of engineering/product management experience, preferably in enterprise computing, with strong Oracle database skills.
- Balanced mix of database administration skills, along with Oracle Database Appliance hardware and software experiences
- Experience dealing with a broad spectrum of IT audience, ranging from CTO/CIO to database/systems/network/storage administrators
- Excellent written, communication and presentation skills.
- Analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technology and business problems.
- Meticulous, structured and detail-oriented.
- Strong inter-personal skills: ability to effectively deal with various internal groups as well as external customers in high intensity situations
- A can-do attitude, with a focus on deliverables and deadlines.
- Excellent time management skills, especially in the context of multiple commitments.
- Excellent teamwork skills while also having the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong understanding of networking/port and Firewall rules.
- Ability to understand complex network environments.
- Ability to document current state and data flow diagrams in Visio.
- Knowledge and understanding of Linux software.

EDUCATION:
- Preferred: BS/MS in Computer Science or related technical degree.
- Preferred: Certifications including Oracle Certified Specialist (OCS), Oracle Certified Expert (OCE), Oracle Certified Master (OCM) and above.
