For our client, a globally active firm headquartered in CH - Zug, we are looking to staff a Sensor Development Engineer to start on 01 Apr, 2016

Job Description
* Planning and execution of project tasks in the frame of product care and product development projects, where the main deliverables are feasibility studies, risk assessments, trouble shooting, verification, implementation - according to Design Control standard process - and complain handling
* Development and optimization of materials for blood gas, electrolyte and metabolite sensors (thick film technology)
* Definition/improvement of material specifications and development of reliable quality control including in-process control
* Implementation of material changes in Sensor Operations following quality management procedures
* Contribute to the general understanding of electrochemical sensors by providing technical expertise in material & surface/interface characterisation
* Maintain a close level of cooperation with R&D experts in the field of process, sensor, analytics, system engineering. Establish strong interfaces with Operations, procurement and supply chain departments

Must Haves
* Master degree in chemistry or material sciences (background in polymer chemistry is preferred)
* 3-5 years of professional experience
* Min. 3 years of industrial experience in the development and optimization of polymer-based materials in highly regulated environments
* Six Sigma certification or experience with similar statistical methods is an advantage
* SAP and MS Office knowledge
* Fluent in english
* Team player with good communication skills

Nice to Haves
* Experience with thick film technology is an asset
* German spoken and written
