Description

I am looking for an Application Developer with Specific Expertise in ColdFusion for a long term contract opportunity in Brussels, Belgium.

As a ColdFusion Application Developer you collaborate in a team to engineer corporate solutions for multiple clients. You are able to work independently as well as be part of a team that builds and integrates web-enabled applications, and services for both internal and public sites.

  • Your role is to develop Web applications and test them on various browsers, with a specific view on corporate needs and complex architectures to serve multiple stakeholders.
  • You share the responsibility of Quality Assurance and verify the consistency of solutions in place with a critical approach in view of improvements, enhancing and modifying them as necessary to ensure the best experience for the user.
  • You develop new functionalities according to evolving needs in compliance of corporate governance.
  • As a web developer, you design and implement web applications and websites with particular care for user experience.
  • You communicate project status, issues, and solutions.
  • You always look at code critically, and you're ready to make relevant recommendations or propose different patterns and technical solutions when appropriate.

The Mandatory Skills required are: 

  • Very good experience in ColdFusion application development, a part of which on CF version 10
  • Proven experience with Continuous Integration, Automated testing, Test Driven Development, and Behavior Driven Development
  • Experience using tracking systems, preferably JIRA and Confluence, linked with the release management of software changes
  • Experience with versioning systems, preferably SVN and GIT, and working with an development/testing/acceptance/production approach
  • Excellent knowledge of web technologies: RSS, JSON, CSS, HTML, JavaScript
  • Database modelling and building (MySQL, Oracle)
  • Excellent professional proficiency of both French and English
  • Awareness of ITIL service management and support

Additional desired skills:

  • Webservices, in particular with other technologies such as Drupal, SharePoint, Jive
  • Experience with CRM, news and newsletter applications
  • Knowledge of other EU languages is considered an asset
