Oracle VM Expert
We are currently recruiting for Oracle VM Expert for a long term contract position, based in Valencia, Spain.
Your main responsibilities will be:
*Assess the existing Oracle VM infrastructure; propose and implement recommendations and improvements
*Installation, management and support Oracle VM Server x86 environment.
*Implement configurations related to clusters, SAN, multipath, security and user/group administration and standard tools for backup, monitoring and administration.
*Perform regular patch updates.
*Identify and troubleshoot known problems and document solutions.
*Design, develop and maintain automation tools aiming at optimizing the management of the Oracle VM Virtual Server Infrastructure.
*Document monitoring and maintenance procedures.
*Perform required tasks in maintenance windows.
*Provide out of hours "stand-by" services on a rotation basis.
For this position you will need the following skills and experience/knowledge:
*Fluent in English
*Expert knowledge of Oracle VM:
-Implementing Oracle VM 3.3.X
-Managing and troubleshooting Oracle VM 3.3.X in a critical environment
-Migrating of VM between different Oracle VM environments.
*Good knowledge of Xen, OCFS2 and Cluster Concepts.
*Good knowledge of Storage Area Networks, LAN, WAN and Internet technologies and protocols
*Good knowledge of Shell Scripting (Perl, bash..)
*Knowledge of HP Server hardware
*Desirable knowledge of VMware and/or Microsoft HyperV
