For a project at our client, an international bank in Zurich, we are looking for a

German Speaking Risk Analyst - Economic Risk Capital Model (3669)

The successful candidate will join a team which plays a key role in maintaining an adequate risk governance process, defines the risk appetite, analyzes specific stress scenarios and evaluates capital adequacy. Additionally, the team ensures the consistency of the risk framework and stress testing with both the banks' global framework and local requirements / regulators.

Your qualifications:
  • Multiple years' experience in an analytical risk function within a bank, preferably with focus on Credit or Market risk
  • Profound understanding of Economic Risk Capital model implications/limitations to define appropriate reporting requirements and formats
  • Strong analytical thinking to pick up and adapt new concepts quickly and analyze implications
  • Good organization and coordination skills and ability to challenge quality and consistency of documents
  • Ability to produce high quality and accurate work to tight deadlines
  • Strong team player with ability to work across different areas and engage key stakeholders
  • Professional skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and Power Point
  • Excellent German and English language skills as well as the ability to communicate clearly and effectively


Your Responsibilities:
  • Offer support for the development, implementation and setup of Economic Risk Capital management concept for Private Banking business, including model challenge, interpretation of results and specification of reporting requirements
  • Define and set up relevant processes in regards to risk appetite framework and risk limits, especially in terms of capital adequacy limits related to Economic Risk Capital
  • Support risk appetite limit calibration methodology and implementation of processes
  • Design appropriate risk appetite reports and operating process, esp. in terms of capital adequacy limits
