Job Description:
- Must have experience with additional CAD systems such as Solidworks, or ProEngineer.
- Must be able to work with all file formats - importing/exporting.
- Must have experience designing with Hyperworks or other meshing software.
- Must be able to apply advanced modelling techniques to manipulate surfaces to meet final design concepts.
- Must be able to generate designs that are organized and parametrically constrained with the ability to easily be updated by any team member without direct input from the creator.
- Must be capable of creating complex geometry from scratch using extracted/iso surfaces
- Must have understanding of parameters and tables to create geometry that can be driven by material selections.
- Must be able to collaborate and work in a team environment with a high level of interpersonal skills to work efficiently and effectively.
- Must be able to clearly articulate advanced design and modelling techniques.
- Must be able to create technical reports and presentations and communicate effectively with any skill level.
- Must be able to develop a project outline and prioritize design considerations.
- Must have an understanding of die processing/design and sheet metal forming principals and guidelines.
- Must have an understanding of materials commonly used in todays applications and be able to recommend material alternatives based on application and product geometry.
- Must be able to communicate advanced modelling techniques for AHSS materials, sheet metal forming, die process, and die design to the each team member (act as technical leader).
- Must keep up to date with latest CAD tools and trends to maintain industry leading skills.
- Must have a high level of analytical ability for problem solving.
- Must have a fair knowledge of Federal motor vehicle safety standards.
