Oracle High Availability contract

A leading Irish public sector company are looking to add a Senior Oracle DBA to their project team for a 6 month contract with a high possibility for extension beyond this. This company are looking to replace a contractor that is leaving soon, we already have one contractor onsite.

Role: Oracle DBA

Duration: 6 months daily rate contract

Location: Dublin, Ireland

X-Factor: High probability of a long contract

Your Role:

You will be installing, configuring, upgrading and patching Oracle products, this will involve routine database activities with system backup and recovery. You will be implementing database, server security, server tuning and server monitoring. Alongside this, you will be creating and maintaining documentation of the system.

Your Skill-set:
  • 4 years Oracle RAC 10GR2/11GR2
  • 4 years Oracle database administration
  • Weblogic 11G,12C
  • Data-guard


  • Desirable
    • Oracle certification


    Type of person for the Oracle role:

    This role will suit a great communicator who is also comfortable technically. Experience with RAC, Dataguard and weblogic are all essential.
