Solution Architect - IBM Sterling Order Management Software

We are currently looking for a Solution Architect to be responsible for translating the client's business requirements into a specific order management system, application or process designs. The Solutions Architect will be working with client personnel to identify technical and functional requirements and subsequently working with and leading others in the identification, justification and high level design of the client's solution and Order Management Software architecture.

The overall responsibilities of the Solution Architect will include:

  • Creating the theoretical and detailed technical design to meet business requirements by leveraging the capabilities available in IBM Sterling Selling and Fulfilment Suite
  • Providing business and technical expertise to evaluate and choose between solution alternatives
  • Designing, developing and implementing the highest quality software application solutions using Sterling OMS modules
  • Helping to develop and propose Sterling OMS centric processes, policies and standards
  • Participating in architectural design, making recommendations to improve efficiency, minimise costs and support future business growth plans
  • Analysing, troubleshooting and tuning Sterling Commerce, working closely with the infrastructure team to solve performance and issues, providing permanent solutions

The Solution Architect should have:

  • Over 5 years overall software development experience with hands-on Sterling development experience in one or more Sterling Modules
  • A strong foundation in Java and good technical knowledge of Sterling OMS components, API's and related interfaces
  • Hands-on functional and technical experience on Sterling Distributed Order Management, Selling and Fulfilment
  • Able to understand business issues and propose technical solutions, perform impact analysis for new requirements and design solutions and customise the Sterling system to meet business requirements
