For our client in Amsterdam we are searching for an IT Specialist in the role of DevEngineer. An Oracle developer who is able to function well in a DevOps team.
Together with a small team of motivated colleagues, the employee will be responsible for the professional design, build, test, and possible support of applications and software changes. Furthermore, the employee will be expected to support acceptance when necessary, and provide production support when necessary. All work will be carried out in an Agile/Scrum environment working with LeanIT practices. In a DevOps manner.
- Relevant IT experience: 3 years (as of level 9)
- Relevant domain experience: 2 years (as of level 9)
- Good experience with Linux/Unix (1-2 yrs) including system commands, & scripting.
- Good experience with Oracle and SQL queries (1-2 years)
- Experience with tools such as TOAD, HP ALM, and Microsoft Sharepoint is a pre
Tasks:
Design, build, and test of applications, changes of software
Configuration of applications and application software
Unit and System Testing for software changes and configurations
Support testing during acceptance testing including risk analysis for tests
Support software during full lifecycle
Support the business and operations with production operations when required
All work to be performed within an Agile/Scrum way of working.
What has to be realized:
Successfully and correctly developed software changes or configuration changes
Maintaining a development and test environment
Correct creation of test data for unit and system tests
Technical knowledge:
Experience with: Oracle Designer with versioning for datamodelling, PL/SQL, Webforms, WebPL/SQL, Apex, writing Unix (IBM AIX) shell scripts, performance tuning, scheduler tools.
Preferred: Experience with Oracle CDM Ruleframe, experience with Perl scripting, Autosys, ITIL

General knowledge:
The Dev Engineer works in a DevOps team which consists of Dev Engineers and Ops Engineers. The Dev Engineer is responsible for the design, development and test of applications, using the Scrum methodology and Continuous Delivery Engineering Practices. Proactive and reactive actions are taken to assure continuity and compliance.
Service Implementation & Small enhancements
- Decompose backlog items into user stories and tasks together with the team and other stakeholders.
- Write product documentation (like functional design, data model, technical design, system documentation, user manuals, work instructions).
- Design and develop software and/or configure software packages
- Develop and maintain test cases and (automated) test scripts.
- Develop roles for role based access to incorporate in the SOLL matrix.
- Execute all required tests and fix bugs, performance issues and conflicts in builds in order to deliver updated and tested software (including interfaces, reports, configuration changes). Activities to create the software build and version management are included.
- Develop and test of deployment scripts.
All based on Scrum/Lean way of working, which means a.o.:
- participate in planning & estimation process,
- participate in sprint demo's, Stand-ups, retrospectives and product backlog refinement
Knowledge of Financial markets or the ambition to learn about Financial markets. Able to see relations between systems and understanding these relations.
