Description

Visa Europe are recruiting for a Credit Risk Senior Manager to join the Risk & Compliance division on a 12 month contract. You will be responsible for managing the relationship with assigned key or high risk Visa Europe members to prevent Visa Europe and other members from failure as a result of systemic, economic and bank credit risk.

Over the years, Risk and Compliance has evolved dramatically, but retained its core purpose. Essentially minimising risk and building trust. Achieving this goal entails protecting card transactions, our brand, operational effectiveness, our offices and our people.

The team question, challenge, advise and create, suggest scenarios and find solutions - adapting existing tools to new challenges and devising new ones. They introduce better authentication and encryption, reducing or eliminating sensitive data within the payment chain.

As a Credit Risk Senior Manager you will be responsible for:

  • Ensuring Visa Europe is protected from financial loss due to pre-paid, settlement, sovereign and high risk merchant risks by promoting and implementing risk policies.
  • Contributing to the development of Member Risk policy and preparing the first draft for board papers.
  • Monitoring exposure and running financial risk analysis on large and high risk members.
  • Monitoring micro and macro-economic status of the countries in which Visa Europe operates.
  • Analysing the credit risk of new and existing members and making recommendations accordingly.
  • Managing settlement exposure of members by ensuring daily settlements are promptly received and validated.
  • Deputising for the Head of Member Risk in their absence and may interface with the ELT and externally in lieu of the Head of Member Risk.

The successful candidate will have:

  • Significant risk analysis experience within the financial services industry
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent
  • People management experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent numerical and analytical skills
  • High accuracy and attention to detail

It is also desirable but not essential to have:

  • Fluency in a European language
