Description

Manufacturing Engineer II with manufacturing eligibility, job available in Cork on a permanent basis. The company is currently working on a number of innovative projects and this expansion requires a Manufacturing Engineer II to join the manufacturing team on site in Cork.

As a Manufacturing Engineer II you will be working alongside the process engineer to develop, implement and maintain processes and operations to manufacture parts, sub-assemblies and finished products.

About the job:

As the Manufacturing Engineer II you will be responsible for the leadership of product line extension projects and well as implementing process improvements relating to product quality, cost, time-cycle reduction and manufacturing line efficiencies for current and new processes. As the Manufacturing Engineer II you will be resolving manufacturing and quality issues and providing engineering support for New Product and new process introduction. You will participate in FMEA, control plan, SOP and PPAP generation and lead and participate cross functional and cross divisional process improvement initiatives. You will develop automated CAD/CAM/CAE manufacturing systems and programming of CNC machine tools.

Requirements:

Ideally 2 year's experience in a high volume manufacturing environment, preferably from medical device industry.

Manufacturing Engineer eligibility - Level 8 Degree in Engineering or a similar technical field

CNC Machine Tools and NC Programming experience

Working knowledge of Fortran, Visual Basic, Visual, C++

Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and have a good understanding of geometrical dimensioning and tolerancing.

Salary and benefits:

Depending on experience €45-55K + 10% Bonus + healthcare (employee), pension contribution.
