Description

We are currently working with a world leader in Pharmaceuticals who are looking to bring in a home based Senior Statistician on a 12 month contract. Ideally the candidate will be at a good Senior Statistician level in order to support a number of Oncology studies across a variety of indications. Our Client is looking for someone who is technically good, with good SAS knowledge and who is happy to get stuck in to the study data work. Oncology experience is a must for this role and there may be a requirement for some (infrequent) visits to the Cambridge site thereafter on boarding, as appropriate to the project needs.

Candidate Focus & Challenge

- Provides Statistical expertise to support the design and interpretation of Clinical programmes, regulatory submissions and commercialisation.

- Analyses internal and external information to inform design decisions and the development of decision criteria.

- Provides support to the regulatory submissions including specification of overview documents and response to regulatory questions.

- Identifies opportunities for the application of modelling and simulation to improve study design.

- Identifies opportunities to improve the methodology and provide practical solutions for problems

- Identifies and applies statistical methodology to improve the process and deliver activities.

- Contributes to the development of best practice to improve quality, efficiency and effectiveness.

Candidate knowledge, skills and experience

- Leadership Capabilities @ Level 2

- MSc/PhD in Statistics or Mathematics, preferably with experience in pharma/healthcare or other relevant area.

- Knowledge of the technical and regulatory requirements related to the role

- Experience of Development, programme design and data analysis and interpretation.

- Experience of regulatory, commercial or early development support work.

- Communication skills
