The company are looking to bring their development in-house, and this would be to replace a team member to help the software design team.
Role: Embedded Software Engineer
Salary: upto £45,000K DOE
Location: West Yorkshire
The Role:
* Responsible for the software aspects of design and the successful integration with all software, electrical and drives management systems.
* Liaising with customers, suppliers, sales and installation teams as well as all in-house staff.
* Improve efficiency of the software design process, including fully testing and control of releases.
* Leading software design reviews as required to review ideas and schemes from other engineers and contractors.
Key Skills:
* Embedded C/C++
* Knowledge of RS485, MODBUS, CANBUS, PROFIBUS, TCP/IP protocols (As many as possible)
* Good customer facing skills
* Degree or equivalent in software engineering or a relevant discipline.
Desirable Skills:
- Linux Kernel Development - yocto
- OOD/OOP
- Real Time Systems
- Experience in dealing with Subversion/GIT
