Looking for a native English-speaking developer in Europe or North America who is capable of leading development on WP projects. You’ll be working in a team of 4 along with a PM, and 2 junior devs. You should be good at communicating with a PM and have a good understanding of the development process. You’ll have the pressure of being the main dev responsible for delivery, but you’ll have help with all the tickets you can delegate.At my firm, which is developer-run we aim to have a great team dynamic and well organized approach to development. We have a mix of client work, and internal projects. We do our best to load balance types of work so everybody can do what suits them best. Still we’re working in small teams where roles are fairly fluid, you should expect that in some cases you’ll need to just get things done even it’s work you’d rather delegate.
We want to find somebody who will work with us long-term, starting at just 10H/week but with potential to increase quickly as needed.
We’re not hiring for a single project here but instead a team role. Still let’s talk about details of some of the projects. We have multiple projects with WP Job Manager. We’ve just finished some work on a job site that also had WPML. We expect more WPML or translation work with polylang. We work a bit with WooCommerce and hope to have more projects with it. We use DB Migrate Pro sometimes.
We have Slack, Jira and we’re usually all on Skype as well.
We would prefer somebody who is willing to work regular hours, for at least part of their total hours. It’s our goal to coordinate work sessions on Slack from 10AM – 4PM in GMT+2. However, for somebody in North America we can plan around an EST schedule.
Long-term we plan to have 2 scheduled shifts, one in EST and one in GMT+2 (Varna).
