The Opportunity:
We are looking to showcase our technology on our website, bringing the power of speech recognition to users through the browser. A large part of the work will be in designing and developing new ways to use speech recognition in the browser, with emphasis on creating a clean, responsive and intuitive user experience. The focus of this role will be on the front end, but you will be involved in all layers of the stack.
Qualifications:
We are looking for engineers with at least 2-3 years of experience in designing and building front end web applications.
An ideal candidate would possess the following:
- Full stack web development experience
- Proven portfolio of successful UI/UX projects
- Extensive HTML/CSS/AJAX/Javascript (jQuery, Angular, require/browserify, meteor) coding experience
- CSS compiler knowledge (E.g., Sass, LESS)
- Experience debugging front-ends
- A strong, traditional belief in clean and beautiful code. No exceptions.
- Strict discipline in following existing formatting standards
- Comfortable working on tight deadlines and in a team environment
- Comfortable with version control
- Comfortable using modern technologies and interfacing with existing libraries
No prior speech recognition experience is expected – we have a team of developers who build and maintain the speech recognition back end.
