For a project until the end of 2016 at our client site, an international banking company based in Zurich, we are looking for an

IT Security Engineer - Cyber Security (3680)

Our client is looking for an IT Security Engineer to join the global Cyber Security Services team. The perfect candidate has a strong background in cyber security, with specialist experience in one or more of the following technical domains: Network Intrusion Detection System and Netflow with profiling solution.

Qualifications:
  • Over three years' experience in an IT role, with a strong focus on information security/data protection.
  • Understands the cyber threat landscape that financial institutions currently face.
  • Proficient knowledge and utilization of Network Intrusion Detection System ("SourceFire") or Netflow with profiling (eg. "Lancope") solution (hands-on experience preferred, including designing ruleset) (mandatory)
  • Preferably demonstrate knowledge on other security tools (i.e SIEM tools, Firewalls, Network monitoring and protection, Anti-Malware technologies).
  • Team player with excellent coordination and communication skills, and experience working within complex international organizations.
  • Pro-active and self-driven to overcome challenges, achieve results and deliver to deadlines.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Math, Physics or a technical field.


Key deliverables:
  • Determines operational feasibility of security solutions by evaluating analysis, problem definition, requirements, solution development, and proposed solutions.
  • Documents and demonstrates security solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code.
  • Prepares and installs security solutions by determining and designing system specifications, standards, and programming.
  • Designing a ruleset for NIDS or lancope
  • Improves operations of security solutions by conducting systems analysis and recommends changes in policies and procedures.
  • Supports the evaluation of different solutions and vendors; recommends purchases; testing and approving products.
  • Acting as the subject matter expert for your domain
