My client is a large financial organisation based in the centre of Chester. This is an immediate opportunity on a 6 months rolling contract due to a large project the business is taking on. You will work with project teams to ensure solutions meet the strategic needs. Working alongside both internal and external parts of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Creation, maintenance and optimisation of all Database environments
- Creation, maintenance and optimisation of Database Monitoring and Database Backups & Recovery Procedures
- Input into database design considerations and build/ release in line with design
- Providing system level performance management and backup and disaster recovery management activities.
Skills & Experience:
- Strong experience supporting Oracle (Including 9i,10g and 11g)
- Supporting Microsoft SQL Server Environments (2005,2008 and 2012)
- Experience of writing technical documentation
- Knowledge of databases particularly regarding performance tuning.
