Description
Summary- The Senior Financial Analyst will report directly to the Actuarial Manager, in support of all actuarial research functions and needs.
- Responsibilities include production of monthly and ad hoc health care reports; respond to report requests; analysis and presentation of results, support for Department actuaries; health care reporting for compliance with requirements of DHCS, CMS, Plan Partners, contracted providers, County of Los Angeles, and other revenue or payment sources
- Legal services support; other support of the Chief of Actuary as directed.
- Interfaces and serves as liaison with multiple internal and external departments.
- Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, strong oral and written communication skills, and excellent data management skills.
Qualifications
- The Candidate must have a Bachelors in Business Administration or Finance with knowledge of accounting, and a minimum of 4-8 years Health Care experience and have strong Health Care industry knowledge. Medi-Cal, Medicare and MHC knowledge preferred.

- Strong accounting, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Experience with Medicare and Medi_Cal preferred
- Masters Degree in Accounting/Finance or Health Administration a plus
- Licenses/Certifications Preferred: CPA
- Excellent advanced PC Skills (Excel, Word, Access)
- 3-5 years experience in a managed healthcare setting (HMO and IPA); advanced analytical skills, SQL Server and/or PL/SQL experience
