Park Assist is looking for full stack developers to work on our next generation real-time command and control system.Who we are:
The engineering team at Park Assist has rescued millions of people from the mundane and aggravating experience of parking in a parking garage. We are a small, agile and energetic team of hardware and software developers who are passionate about making great products and revolutionizing an industry. We're looking for developers who can help us elevate the parking experience even further and who want to have fun in the process.
Who you are:
You are proficient with Ruby, Rails, and JavaScript and you have designed, deployed, and scaled commercial Rails apps before. You have experience with agile development practices and a steadfast belief in the value of testing. You love solving real problems and you're motivated to continuously improve how you do so.
What you will do here:
As a full stack Rails developer, you will work with a small team to build our next generation web platform with interactive dashboards, real-time monitoring and control, advanced analytics and reporting, and complex event processing. You will be involved in every level, including system design, development, and deployment.
How we work:
We plan our two-week sprints in Jira, write documentation in Confluence, and basically live in HipChat. We are agile and pragmatic without being rigid. Our work hours are extremely flexible, and other than a daily 10am stand-up, we keep formal meetings to a minimum. Our technology stack consists of Ruby, Rails, PostgreSQL, jQuery, Bootstrap, Kafka, and Samza, but above all we believe in using the best available tools for a given project and we're not afraid to experiment.
