Description

I am looking for a Strategy Planner who will be responsible for the creation of sales and marketing presentations/materials that communicate both client-specific solutions and sales sponsorship opportunities to ultimately enhance revenue generation for the EMEA Multimedia ad sales team.

The Strategy Planner will draw upon a thorough knowledge of media sales and marketing communications to help shape ideas, develop presentations and create compelling and effective collateral to differentiate us from the competition, raise awareness of our elite audience and promote my clients wealth of media opportunities.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with sales lead on all RFP requests that require strategic marketing.
  • Understand and articulate the value proposition offered by My clients various platforms to current and potential advertising clients.
  • Produce exceptional proposals across all platforms for responses to RFPs from both agency and client sales teams.
  • Create tight, idea-driven connections between My client and advertisers.
  • Understand how to make a proposal flow and bring positioning to life using strong narrative, bold aesthetics and incisive language.
  • Ensure proposals are on brief, on-message and on-target.
  • Rationalise the proposed opportunities in a clear and concise manner using insights from the consumer, product, culture and market.
  • Collaborate with other teams including Sales, Editorial, Client Solutions, Ad Ops and other teams within Commercial Media as required.
  • Develop relationships with counterparts at media agencies in London.
  • Foster a culture of service, in part by meeting deadlines internally and externally
  • Keep up with trends in the advertising industry and within own market
  • Share knowledge, information and market intelligence across teams.
  • Develop and manage a library of materials for sales and marketing access.
  • Anticipate needs of the sales teams, agencies and advertisers by proactively seeking out information.

Qualifications/Skills:

  • Ideas driven with strong copy-writing skills and an eye for design.
  • Recent/relevant media advertising sales/marketing experience.
  • Existing understanding of and passion for the current media/advertising landscape.
  • History of client facing experience and superior customer service in a sales/marketing environment.
  • Ability to read and analyse sales, research and marketing data and extracting insight from these sources to enhance My clients audience story.
  • Exceptional organisational and planning skills and the ability to work in a fast paced environment, managing a high volume of projects under tight deadlines using own initiative and setting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and the ability to problem solve.
  • A team player with the ability to work across different multi-media platforms and departments.
  • Must possess good computer skills including a high level of expertise in PowerPoint and ideally some experience using design programs such as Adobe Creative Suite.
  • Experience using syndicated research such as Ipsos and ComScore
  • Samples(s) of relevant presentations from last 3 years.
