Description

We are currently looking for a engineer who wants to work in Amsterdam, THE Netherlands. This is a contract position within our international end client for about 3 months with the possibility to extend! The start date is the 18th of April 2016 (or negotiable around that day).

You will be part of the development team and bridge the gap between the developers and infrastructure services provided by other teams.

Job content and main responsibilities:
Set up and maintain the development, testing, acceptance and production environments through automatic deployments

Communication across the organization for upcoming deployments in Test, Acceptance and production.
Keep configuration management for application environments up to date.
Keep documentation of installation and environments up to date for distribution to 3rd parties
Help our developers troubleshoot their applications in the various environments.
Automation:
o Automate deployments of specific package versions to specific environments and maintain overview of what is running where.

o Automate builds of python source code for binary distribution.
o Automate packaging and binary distribution of python code for continuous integration in isolated/offline environments.

o Automate re-packaging of external/3rd party code for binary distribution
Ensure builds, packages and environments are in compliance with company policies.

Context/Environment:
64bit Linux CentOS 7 Server
Complex Firewalls
Isolated/Offline environments
Local software repositories, binary distribution.
Infrastructure provided by other departments (Virtualization, Cloud, HW, Network)

Your profile:
Bach/master degree in IT or similar
Experience with version control systems; like git, mercurial, darcs, bazaar or similar
Experience with centralized version control repositories; like GitLab GitHub, Gogs, Gitosis, Gitolite, Phabricator or similar

Experience with configure automatic build and test systems; like GitLab-CI and Tox, but Jenkins, GoCD, Travis, Buildbot or similar is fine.

Experience with writing basic scripts for automation/builds; Bash, python, Perl or similar is fine.
Experience with building packages for package management systems like rpm and wheel, but deb, msi, egg is fine
Experience with set up and maintain local package repositories; Preferably DevPI and pulp, but mrepo, reprepo, aptly or similar is fine.

Write configuration for configuration management systems; Preferably Puppet but Chef, CFEngine, Ansible, Salt Stack or similar is fine.
