Description

Purpose:
To work with 3rd party consultants and the Group Payroll Manager to merge multiple payrolls from multiple IT platforms to a single monthly SAP Payroll and deliver within the agreed timescales.
Responsiblity:
- Understand the business requirements and ensure the changes to processes, services and technical systems are practical, efficient and fit for purpose, review and revise where required
- Ensuring the solution is in line with regulatory requirements and business necessities
- Assist with the planning and delivery of project timelines, review and revise where required
- Assist with the technical implementation of Payroll changes, review and revise where required
- Assist in production of success criteria for testing and data migration
- Assist in the delivery of plans for testing and data migrations and oversee the execution to ensure a quality solution is delivered in alignment with business requirements in line with pre-defined success criteria
- Work with the Group Payroll Manager on BAU projects to gain understanding of the operational and functional requirements of the system
- Determine risk and mitigation plans and produce accordingly
- Oversight of all activities within the Payroll project team and BAU team to ensure integration with other project workstreams: Data, Testing, Management Information, End to end processes, SAP Technical teams and Business teams
Accountability:
Responsible for the successful implementation of the target Payroll operating model for the UK and Ireland in line with 3rd party consultant recommendations, internal audit recommendations, statutory compliance and business objectives
Skills:
- Experienced Payroll workstream lead who works well under pressure, handling uncertainty and change
- Track record of successful delivery, with similar role and responsibilities
- Previous hands on SAP Payroll implementation roles, with technical Payroll, data migration and testing responsibilities
- Strong understanding of underlying HR systems and platforms,
- Proven understanding of up to date UK PAYE and HMRC legislation
Essential Skills = SAP Payroll and Project Management - along with the other skills we had on the JD, previous experience of migration between systems
Desirable Skills = Success Factors or integration with other cloud based systems, knowledge of Oracle HR/Payroll, knowledge of Peoplesoft HR/Payroll
