Help to MySql.Problem is “after a new post is made”, then the mysql server getting high load.
High traffic WordPress site with over unique visitors and over 1,000,000 page impressions per day.
We has a very custom server setup that is very unique to handle very high capacity loads.
There is one database that I am sure wil need to be converted because when its copied to the new database server it’s almost unresponsive.
I am pretty sure the database needs to be converted as well as the database server needs to be optimized for the use.
the older database server needs to be retired. Over a very long time we have patched and made modifications that were never documented as they were usually done in emergency situations, so there it NO telling how many modification were made in the middle of disasters or power outages, etc.
we are looking for a company to do a “fix”.
Right now the database is functioning on the old server and needs to be imported. When we import it, the site becomes unusable. So we have two servers up but need to retire the older one.
