Reliability and Maintainability Engineer - Military Vehicles

A Reliability and Maintainability Engineer with Military Vehicles knowledge is required to work on a six month contract (with the possibility of extension) for our Defence client based in Telford.

This is a six month contract with a leading UK defence client.

Overview of the Reliability and Maintainability Engineer contract role

You will be required to perform some or all of the activities designed to measure, control and manage the R&M characteristics of new or existing equipment to satisfy customer and business needs. In addition to a detailed knowledge of vehicle systems the applicant should understand the basic principles of R&M Engineering and have a working knowledge of JSP 886 Defence Logistic Support Chain Manual.

Key skills required for the Reliability and Maintainability Engineer

  • Must have Military combat vehicle maintenance and reliability experience at level 2 and understand level 3 and level 4 maintenance.
  • Previous exposure to DRACAS
  • Must familiar with the breakdown of Military combat vehicle, Line Replaceable Units LRU`s.
  • Population of Logistic Support Analysis Records (LSARs) with relevant data.
  • Must be fully conversant with Army Equipment Support Publications (AESP`s) and their structure.
  • Must be able to work with Microsoft Office package.

The role is based in Telford commutable from Shrewsbury, Wolverhampton, Stafford and Bridgenorth.
